Peter qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 1984. He first worked as a small animal surgery intern at the Royal Veterinary College. Peter then worked for several years in mixed practice in the UK and New Zealand before joining the Liphook Equine Hospital in 1990, where he worked for 5 years as a first opinion vet and surgeon. Peter then continued to specialise in equine practice and worked once again in New Zealand and then for Three Counties Equine Hospital in Gloucestershire.
In 2004 Peter returned to settle in his native Dorset where he set up Dorset Equine Veterinary Services.
Away from work, Pete enjoys sea fishing and may be found somewhere off the Dorset coast trying to catch an elusive sea bass.
